The Futaleufú river runs for 60 miles through one of the most beautiful Patagonian valleys, surrounded by the Andes mountains, before crossing to Chile where it finally flows into the Pacific. Futaleufú, which in Mapuche means “Big River”, is famous for its great fly-fishing; and several international fishing lodges are located by its shore.
